The Clayschool Show

Since 2018 the Clayschool Show has run continuously, showcasing over 50 artists at each edition and cementing its place as Brisbane’s longest-running and most significant ceramics festival.

A bi-annual event, the show presents the work of more than 50 artists (students and teachers) who each bring unique styles, techniques and creative voices. Across a range of forms, glazes and firing methods, visitors have a chance to purchase functional wares, sculptural pieces and experimental work.

More than an exhibition, the event is a gathering point for the local clay community: an opportunity to see emerging talent alongside experienced makers. The Clayschool Show captures both the technical skill and the imaginative risk-taking that are shaping Brisbane’s Clay Culture, offering a rich experience for anyone curious about clay and a great opportunity to buy some quality pots.
